What to Look Forward to In Our Sessions:
My counselling and psychotherapy service offers a safe and supportive virtual* environment to talk about and work through the feelings and experiences that are troubling you. My role is to work together with you as you endeavour to better understand yourself and your situation. This may involve helping you adapt your coping skills and learn new ones while experimenting with positive changes in the way you live your life. At the end of the day, we work toward what matters most to you in helping you personally grow and live your best life.
I understand your decision to reach out for counselling or psychotherapy may feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable or even a bit scary. I believe that offering professional support is a privilege. A positive relationship between my clients and me is based on trust - which I must earn. I am humbled by the fact that my therapeutic approach and diverse experience have helped many of my clients transform their lives.
We all have different strengths and possess resilient characteristics inside of us. I hope that you will be open to explore the unique aspects of your experiences (emotional, psychological, physical, social, spiritual and cognitive) in our therapy sessions. I will encourage you to bring and apply self-compassion as you develop and strengthen skills to work through your issues and concerns independently outside of therapy. We will work together, no matter how complex your situation, with acceptance and without judgement.
I welcome any person within your support circle to participate in our sessions if you feel this would be of help. These important people in our lives often want to assist and may benefit from support themselves.
